Heron technique:

The heron technique consists of spinning the silk in a specific way that generates a fabric with a slight Oxford-type granularity , giving the tie a more rustic and textured appearance .

The fabric is initially made from raw, natural silk with a low sheen , and the design is printed after the fabric is finished. This fabric requires more passes than silk twill , giving the tie more body and making the manufacturing process more labor-intensive .
